4G mini tank for small newts
 

will upload pics as soon as its done, should be done in 2 days at least,
here is my question how long till i can add newts, its got 1.25" miracle gro organic all purpose peat free, and its going to have about 1cm of pool filter sand as a topper, and a selection of plants i will take from cuttings.

I'd caution you on the sand - if you are going to have newts. It might get ingested when they feed, and it may not be nice for them to walk on. Just some thoughts.

when i've been reading up on this species the prefer sand to stone they live in mud bottom ponds and most use sand for them they have small stones atm but they are not to keen on it
