Blue velvets?
 

Question about blue velvets. I understand they are a color variation of red cherry shrimp, while blue pearls are a different species? They're kinda cool looking.

What is the question? Yes the bp are a different species than bv, and yes, cherry shrimp made red rili shrimp which led to blue rili which let to them breeding the red mostly out to make bv, although now after breeding for a while, people are seeing the red coming back now and again.

Blue Velvets were derived from Red Rili. They still have reds pop out in their offspring but 99% of the red dissipates after the juvies reach adulthood. Guess I wasn't sure what my question was, just wanted some discussion on this shrimp. I take it they behave just like red cherries and have the same requirements then. Cool shrimp.
