Attaching plants to driftwood?
I just ordered some driftwood Java moss and Java fern and I would like to attach some Java moss and a Java fern to the driftwood but how do I go about doing this?
You can just tie it with fishing line. I think some people use super glue.
You can use fishing line as stated above or regular sewing thread.
Make sure not to leave gaps because your fish can get caught up or tangled in it and die. I learned that one the hard way. |
am i correct in remembering java moss does not actually take root?
In time it will root to whatever it is you attached it to.
i will try it ... i hope it works out i have a bad history with plants
SUPER GLUE! works awesome!

wouldn't it have to be out of the water for a while to cure?
No, it cures instantly on contact with water. It also turns white when it gets wet, but the plants will soon cover it up.
i didnt know that ... cool :) i will have to get some once my driftwood is done leaching
Nice!

Use super glue gel. It takes a few minutes to cure but that's enough time to attach moss/anubias/java ferns/etc.
super glue gel? i have never heard of it
i am hoping i can make this look as good as it does in my head lol |
