Is my lighting low/med/high?

I have two F15T8 / max plant growth zoo med flora sun's 18", on a marineland 46 gal bow front. I have been guessing it is low to med so I am looking for plants according to that.
Thanks for the help.

Likely low, unless it gets light from elsewhere.

Hello cruise...

Your T8s are 15 watts per bulb. So, you have 30 watts of light, that's very low. You can still grow Anubias, Java fern, and some varieties of Amazon sword. But, you'll have to limit the plants to those that require low light or shade.

You can also float stem plants like Anacharis (Waterweed), and Pennywort. Both will grow well close to the light source.

Would it help if I supplemented it with this LED light bar or is it the wrong type of light?

Big fan of Finnex LED
I use them in combo with T5ho on some tanks in combo with-power compacts
Best look from my point of view

Please note that the number of watts doesn't determine your light level.

It's based on PAR - typically more the lesser the distance between substrate and fixture.

Here's a thread that should help you greatly: http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=184368

Is there a better bulb I can put in there place that would work better?
