Corydoras habrosus & Corydoras pygmaeus in 10 gallon
 

I'm entertaining the idea of keeping small schools of both in a heavily planted, well established 10 gallon tank. Is this possible, and if so, how many of each could be kept?

I would have no issues with 5 or 6 of each. Then again all my tanks are overstocked. With regular water changes I don't see an issue. That would be a fun tank to watch.

I have 11 in my shrimp tank which is a 10 gall heavy planted tank. They are so tiny!

Would 8 of each be totally pushing it?

If not, do 10-11 of each and you'll have no issues. The pygmaeus will explore the entire tank - but primarily stay mid-tank when there's a sizable group of them. The habrosus will remain on the bottom, for the most part, so those numbers won't remotely seem crowded.

None at all. The only current occupants are a few Amano shrimp. The corydoras would be the only other livestock. I don't want to overstock the tank, but I also know with cories the more the merrier. I'd prefer to keep the maximum amount that's appropriate for this tank.

I think 10-11 of each would be the max and would be perfect for the tank. You could honestly keep more but they wouldn't be as happy.

You could also add some shrimp if you wanted (beyond the Amanos).
