snail for algae
 
so my 9 gallon is getting some algae on the glass. I want to get a few algae eating snails but not nerites. I have them in my bigger tank and love them but I don't want all those scatter eggs on my smaller tank. I have about 20 shrimp, 2 scarlet badis and 4 endlers so I don't want to add more fish (as in otos) So what other snails will be great for algae but nice to my plants, shrimp and not leave scatter eggs??

Just get some ramshorns, they are great for keeping the glass clean and are not so bad about overpopulating.

Ramshorns are doing a great job for me in my smaller tanks. Excellent algae eaters.

Strangely, I have 2 Nerites in my 5G Marineland Hex, and I have never had any eggs on the sides of the tank. They lay the majority of them on the small rocks I put in there.
