finnex mighty ray enough light?
would 3 of these be enough but not too much light for a 12g long aquarium with mosses and anubias in it?
if not does anyone have any ideas what i could use? i dont want to inject co2 just excell. thanks!! |
I don't think it is the right amount of light. Sounds like an algae factory. I do not have any experience with them though

Might want to try fugeray 36", even that is still too bright for 12 gallon long. You can try rising the light or frogbit floaters to reduce the intensity.

Thanks guys, I am running a 1 bulb t5ho over the tank at the moment. Added in Riccia and red root floaters.
Seems to be working good. |
a 1 bulb t5ho? That should be more than enough, is it a 36" fixture?
|
Yeah its a 36" oddysea fixture that I just popped one bulb out of, and it works with 1 bulb.

A friend of mine has this Mighty light and its spread is very narrow...I think it is more for Nanos that are deep not wide...I understand doing three but I'm with sayurasem on this one if you insist on switching lights. My friend ended up going with a couple Ecoxotic Stunner strips for his 12 long.
imo i'd stick with that single t5ho...especially if it is working! |
