New Shrimp Spec
Been cycling for 2 1/2 weeks. Few more weeks and it should be ready for some shrimp. Hadn't fully decided on species yet. Probably some CRS. First planted nano tank and first stab at shrimp. Am I doing it right?

Sorry for the glare. Crappy iPhone pic.

Looks good. I love the fluvals specs. Just make sure it's fully cycled and water perameters are good for the species you choose. Keep us updated and good luck.

Nice start! Have you decided on if your going to go with CRS or something else?
|
Any updates?

Things have been fully cycle for the last week. I've populated the tank with about 8 CRS, 4 RCS and 3 what I believe to be Orange Sakuras. The guy at the LFS wasn't very knowledgeable on shrimp.

Thanks for the comments!
Substrate is black florite. |
Update! It's been a while. Things have grown in nicely. I've got a ton of little snails in there now. Figure they're not hurting anything though.

Noticed these two strange looking orange hair looking things with these little pods at the ends. Any idea what these are?

Don't think it's Planaria. It hasn't moved for days and it seems more like seeds. These are coming out of a clump of java moss growing on some driftwood.
