" Fallen Tree" ADA Mini-L

5 Attachment(s)
Tank: ADA Mini-L
Light: 4x10w LED/2x15w Arcadia Grow Light DIY Unit
Filtration: DIY ADA Style Stainless Steel 600l/h Echeim powered external filter, "Tygon" laboratory tubing, Purigen reactor or liquid sand bed
CO2: DIY pressured canister, solenoid dual gouge reg, Inline diffuser
Hardskape: Dragon Stone/ Driftwood (Hornwood)
Substrate System: ADA Amazonia size graded, Power Sand Special/ Cosmetic Sand for the "Beach"
Ferts: Easylife kalium-potassium, Pro Fito

Flora and fauna:
Hemianthus callitrichoides 'Cuba'
Eleocharis sp. 'mini'
Marsilea hirsuta or Hydrocotyle tripartita
Some mosses( Spiky, Cristmas) on the drift wood

RCS or Chilli Rasboras, OTOs not decided yet.

Some pics from the dry start only HC is planted for now. I think to plant the mosses and hairgrass as well. Not sure witch plants can handle the dry/flooded change. As long as I know HC get mostly the nutritients fron it is root system so will handle the dry start I suppose.

What do u guys think? Any opinion and criticism appriciated. Thanks.

Love it! I really like the transition you made to the sand. The left front needs to come up, maybe just run the soil straight across the front and let it raise towards the back. Other than that, it looks great. :)

I like the scape. The only thing I am not sure about is the sand on the right, the transition looks a little abrupt. Good luck with the tank.

Thanks for the reply guys. The idea is the tree to stay on kind of hill/island that is why the left side is lower and will be filled with HC. I even try to use the golden ratio and golden spiral in that skape. The focal point will be the V between the big rock and the drift wood where I will put Hudrocytile or Marsilea. I want to achive "Island " type skape mihed with "Iwagumi" the pure Iwagumi looks very traditional but uses some rules in the rock arrangement which can be used in other styles.

I understand, but the dip is below 'sea level'. It will still read as a hill if the front soil level is straight across the front, imho.

A little progress on day 4. It is my first dry start so I dont really know what to expect. I spray RO water every morning and night. The light are 12h on and cover is on during the day and off over the night so will be enough gas exchange. Dont know if the hair grass will survive and the barberi moss. Any thoughts...???
