CT Clubs

I am looking for clubs in the Hartford/new haven area.

I am willing to go pretty much anywhere in the state and up to just above Springfield Mass. Just looking to get involved in "fish stuff" (lol). I am looking to find even a social group to enjoy with others :-)

Check out this link: http://northeastcouncil.org/nec/

They have links to all the local clubs.

Lol well I don't have much to offer to a club, as Im a noob, but it does seem like we need one at this.end of the state. We could all meet at the Springfield meeting tho. Im pretty new to the area so it would be nice to meet people with similar interests.

The Norwalk Aquarium Society is another one. They meet every third Thursday of the month, except for December and July, they meet at 8pm in Westport. I went to a meeting once, they have door prizes, raffles, autcions, and a guest speaker (The meeting i went to was on native plants for planted tanks).

This is an OLD thread but just in case someone is looking, there's CAPE (Connecticut Aquatic Plant Enthusiast) club that's been around for 2-3 years already... Usually meetings are held every month in Easton/Fairfield area, the current President's (asukawashere) place... If anyone is interested in joining or be a member (FREE), just give her a PM here (not sure if she's still active here though) or on APC site... Here's the club's sub-forum link for reference: http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/f...t-enthusiasts/

Cool! I think we haven't met yet, was out in the loop for a while, but looking forward meeting you, and everyone else interested, in the future meetings!

Time to move down here Olive! Jk :)

We usually hold meetings on Saturdays so if ever you're around in CT, you're more than welcome to pop-by!

I joined around January so I'm still new. I've been a member on APC since 2005 but just started my first planted tank in January when I found this site. If we do meet at the next meeting my name is Thomas (Tom) and I usually am the one with the bags of food.:icon_smil:icon_smil

Nice to meet you Tom, I'm John :) Speaking of, asukawashere just sent out an email about the meeting and it's going to be this coming Saturday which there's a conflict with my schedule and I might not be able to attend... Oh well, there's always a next time!
