Which wires of Driver to connect with DIM4? Pics attached.
I was making my LED kit and I have a question.
I made my LED array. connected them in series. I tried lighting them up with my LED driver, they lit up. It was all good. But now I want to attach my LED driver to DIM 4. So my question is- Which wires to attach with DIM4 ? My driver has 3 wire- Yellow, purple and green which says- "Dimming Controls". http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/...ps908db71f.jpg But when I tried reading the manual for DIM4, it's stating that a positive and a negative terminal should go in the DIM4. (in the red circles-) http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/...ps496c8f33.png What should I do ? Which wires should go in the DIM4 ? |
The 2 dimming control wires (+,-) goes into the channel terminals of the DIM4.
DC out goes to the LED. AC goes into the wall. |
I would assume the 3 dim wires would go to the 3 contacts on a potentiometer. That diagram isn't showing the correct location where the words DIM4 are, as that's the AC in. Do you have a link for the site it came from or can you take the cover off the box and see how it's actually connected?

yeah, you can stick a pot with the 3 wires or stick the +,- into the DIM4 channels.
read the label on the driver. you'd want the ground (-) and the 10v input (+). |
Hey,
I got the answer. The Purple one is positive and the green one is negative. Yellow is not used. No need to use a Pot/potentiometer here coz its a sunset/sunrise controller which is named as DIM4. |
