Can the Orange Sakura and Blue Tiger Shrimp coexist

Hi, all im kind of new at this and I'm still debating & researching what shrimp i should get then I thought of the the Orange Sakura and Blue Tiger , I love their colour

I originally wanted CRS but I heard they weren't good for beginners

Hi and welcome to the forum!

They can coexist. However, if you want an easier shrimp, Blue Tigers are not the way to go. They are even more touchy than CRS. I would get A-S grade CRS, as they are a bit heartier than the higher grades.

Obet and btoe are not for starters They are really finicky and touchy. I would do a neo and lower grade crs maybe like s

oebt are not really that hard to care for.... if you can care for S grade CRS, oebt are nothing hard... i have seen people care for oebt in pure tap water and they still breed... of course not often as they should but as long as no death and they are active i dont see what the problem is...

of course you'll need to see what the seller has them originally in tho... i have mines in 50/50 ro & tap.... they seem to be doing fine no death... only problem is no breeding for 4 months now assuming it was the ph that was never stable as i had co2 injected into the tank they were in.... so ph change during the day and at night for 7 day a week... no stable for breeding.... no stable for shrimp-lets survival rate....

so i switch them to a non co2 tank and lets see what happens now =P

Well we need to factor in this... Noobie here wanting to keep medium+ difficulty shrimp.

My recommendation, get A - S CRS. But make sure your tank is ready. Meaning Nitrates and ammonia are at 0. You needa consider that CRS like more acidic water like 6-6.5 while Neos *orange* like water around 7.0-7.3

Brown bear, if you want really easy and REALLY nice blue shrimp send me a pm, I'll hook you up with someone I know.

Oebt and btoe are prone to bacterial infections. I keep and breed them well but colored tigers are way more delicate to temps water conditions than crs. If he is going to house with noes who thrive in a warm water than oebt like, crs will do better with noes for a beginner than a oebt, just my opinion and allot of other people who keep and sell them
