One Hour Tanks
Hey everyone!
This is the first video of a new series where I setup small aquascapes. The concept of these tanks is to setup short term scapes in different glass containers. For one hour. The limited lifetime of the tanks allow me to setup unique aquascapes without the long-term constraints like needing a filter and use different types of moss. The tanks are filled with the water coming from the tank the Ramshorn snails and the RCS came from. (So it's cycled water). http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/359038055.jpg http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=_DQU4ulWQ6U More to come. =) See ya Vx |
Interesting concept

Beautiful scape, there's a lot of detail and contrast for such a small area.
BTW, where can I get some of those speedy snails? |
Nice! I'd be way too tempted to keep the tank and run them Walstad style lol
MABJ's iDevice used for this message :p |
This is....really really cool. Can't wait for more videos!

@ statler&waldorf, They are Ramshorn snails that I have bred to look like that. =D

The most recent is definitely a favorite. What is the breakdown on what plants you used
|
Would be nice to know what plants are those :)
|
Damn that is pretty interesting and cool. Awesome scapes.
|
The plants are different types of moss. I couldn't find all of the names... :s
Plagiomnium undulatum (Hedw.) T.Kop. Plagiochila Dicranum scoparium Hedw. Hypnum Imponens Polytrichum formosum And the rock is in fact petrified wood found in the Alps =) |
