Your collection is amazing! Have always wanted to collect carnivorous plants but hubby says I can only pick between plants or fish :(
But! I do have a regular ole fly trap. It's currently hibernating in my fridge so here is a summer picture. |
looks like a great specimen! mine is enjoying nappy time as well. for the next growing season, i recommend you place it in more sun. VFTs cant get too much sun. :)

My 1st & only so far, Nepenthes 'sanguines black'
http://i541.photobucket.com/albums/g...o/SAM_3674.jpg I was having good growth in my Aquaponic growbed but, I wasn't having pitchers develop. I potted it up today and put it in my 5gl emersed tank. I hope the higher humidity will help. |
from the newest leaves, it looks like your plant is adjusting well. keep us updated!

My turn. Here's some of my Sarracenia from earlier in the growing season. All grown outdoors.

Maxima http://i.imgur.com/K3sml.jpg?1 S. x "Extreme Green" - This one is an Oreophila x Flava maxima hybrid but unlike my other Oreo x Flava cross, this plant was shooting up most of it's first pitchers late summer/early fall. http://i.imgur.com/tmJp3.jpg?1 Anyways, I use tap water for my plants since the TDS never gets above 50 ppm. |
Beautiful specimens fellas! I think I've found a new obsession!
|
Oh guys! Your plants are all gorgeous! I miss carnivorous plants, the house where I spent the first 23 years of my life had wild pitcher plants in the yard, I use to feed them Mwhahaha. I also fed the antlions lol. Are there any good sources online to buy some? I've never found any for sale in the las Vegas valley.
