New to the forum and to the hobby
 

Hey guys, my name is Sami, I've been lurking here for a few days and I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm starting my first semester on a college campus in January and I'm super excited. The idea of four years with nothing but people to keep me company is a scary prospect so I plan on setting up a small tank to keep some fish (probably a betta and maybe a couple shrimp). I'm planning on planting it pretty heavily to cut down on the need for water changes which is how I came across this forum. Now I'm super excited by the prospect of not only using plants to suck up ammonia/nitrates but also to try and make a decent scape. It's gotten to the point that I've been daydreaming about how to set it up in class.

Welcome! Jot a couple of those daydreams down. I have had what I thought was a great idea in my head and totally forgot the idea.... maybe I'm just old though. You're just going into college so you may be safer!
