75 gallon Discus planted- Which LEDs?
 

want a low tech tank, half planted, and a beach of sand. Stocking with discus, cardinal tetras, corys or dwarf loaches, ottos, bristlenose pleco, amano shrimp.

Tank is standard dimensions 48 1/2 x 18 1/2 x 21 3/8 with glass tops on.

48" double regular t5 with moonlight leds (may need to change bulbs, which ones would you reccomend)

will 2 T5 bulbs work on 75g for low tech?

yeah that's what I have on my mid tech tank with Angels

Yes, they should - however, are they NO or HO, though ?
That can make a significant difference.

I have 2 X 39 w T5 HO bulbs on my 75 gal planted discus tank, and they do a super job - have a look:

I don't - and have never had any real problem with algae.

However, as Crob mentioned, your T5 NO should be fine too. Lower light in a discus tank is not a bad idea, and it's still ok for low-tech as well.
