Rhizoclonium: H2O2 with Fissidens
Can you treat this stuff with H2O2? More so will H2O2 burn the fissidens? I've read conflicting stories online and would like to hear from people who have had personal experience. Opinions are great as well.
If you've had success with treating Rhizoclonium with H2O2 on fissidens, please include what you did, the amount you dosed, how fast it went away etc. more details the merrier :)
Is excel a better/safer route with fissidens? I know amanos are the best solution when it comes to this.
The tank only has moss and doesn't have any ferts or CO2 and adding any isn't an option. Lighting is a 27W archaea fixture around 15" from the moss along with an Ista LED fixture at the same distance.
Currently not turning on any lights for the meantime to prevent further sprad of algae.
Also no livestock.
Algaefix would do far better IME.
Just treat in a small cup.
Wait 3-4 days, return the tank.
The regular dosage concentration?
After the 3-4 days, is the algacide still present in the tank? Do I need to do any water changes or anything to get rid of the ammonia from the dead algae?
