24" Ray 2 DD
 

I'm having a hard time locating a 24" DD. Is this model just out of stock, or has the DS proved to be more popular (with the DD being phased out)?

If by DD you mean the 7k/10k combo, they don't make them anymore. I wrote them the other day asking about if they were still available and that's what I was told as the 7k/7k was in higher demand.

Thanks. That's a big help. At least I know for sure. In the comparison's between the DD and DS, I prefered the DD...but only slightly. It was kind of a toss up. I may also go with a Fugeray with moonlights, because I've read a couple of places that leaving both on gives it a nice bright while color.

Hey there. Yes, I'm sorry but we stopped carrying the DD version. We originally did, but if you search old threads when they were released, people were complaining their tank looked to washed out ...hence us bring in the DS. Sorry about that.

Understandable...and as I said, from the pictures I saw it was only a minor preference for the DD. Still excited to get one (just have to decide between a Ray 2 or Fugeray first for my ADA 60-P).

What plants and what do you plan on injecting (or not injecting)?

If your looking for more medium/low light range I would do the Fugeray, otherwise a full CO2 setup I would say the Ray 2.

Full CO2 injection on a controller. Will be growing mostly crypts and anubias, but maybe an added hairgrass lawn.
