ROAK: Lots of hygroryza aristata...
Was gunna throw it out but if anyone wants, hey. Free.
Got a stem thats almost 2 feet long haha. Probably have like 5 portions, depending on if people want. Cool floater. Pick up in Brooklyn, or during this Fridays trip...or sometime in LES/Union Square. PM me :D |
can it do medium light?
IME it can do medium light. It's a floater so it should be close to the light anyways.
its growing in my /low medium light cpo tank at the moment. soaking up excess nitrates as i have no plants due to the cray fish. it is much more suitable in larger tanks as it is tidier than other floaters that tend to mix and make the tank sort of messy looking.
It appreciates a lot of flow as well. Unlike other floaters. I found suction cups and string the best way to keep it where you want. Just tie string around the very end where there are no leaves.

Hey Viva, how fast does this stuff reproduce? I like the way it looks but I'm always cautious w/ floaters b/c they're so cancerous!
It reproduces at a decent rate. However, since it branches out from a single stem, it's easily removed.
Yea, if you just put in one stem, it will stay one stem until you rip the stem into two pieces. Then itll continue growing.
I'd love some! =] I love this plant!
I'll take a stem please.
;) *stem* is rather loosely defined here in terms of length... >.>
Will you ship at all? =]
If you choose to ship I would also be interested!
That looks really cool. If you decide to do shipping let me know.
PM me and I'll run over and pick it up when convenient for you.
