There are all kinds of plants but people will likely need more specifics about your aquarium before offering suggestions.

I have a 20 gal. high with regular gravel. I use the penguin 150 biowheel and the Aqueon 20 quiet-flow filters. My light is a fluorescent wide spectrum plant light.

Is your fixture T5HO? T5NO? T8? Power Compact?

Take a look at the bulb and the inside of the fixture and share any text you can see.

It is an aqueon fluorescent light fixture (comes in a kit) I added a wide spectrum bulb to grow plants

Probably won't do much in the realm of ground cover with your current setup.

With root tabs, Crypt parva would work.

anything I could do with my setup to make it better. No Co2. any aquascape ideas

You could try glueing/tying moss to some thin flat rocks, and using those to make a carpet for part of your tank.

I would add some moss (like ownedbycats said) or anubias.
