How to ship snails

I was wondering if I can just put snails into a zip lock bag or do I need a breather bag
Thanks

If you can trap enough air in the bag a ziplock should work. Why not go to your LFS and pick up some fish bags? We give them away for free at the LFS I work at

I have tons of pink ramshorns I'd love to unload, but am too scared to ship them in cold weather. Can it be done?

As long as it's not below freezing and you insulate the box, absolutely.

What do you insulate with? Newspaper? Towels? Just whatever you have around the house?

Shredded and tightly packed newspaper, styrofoam, thick layers of other insulating material. But that's only if it's below freezing.

If it's below freezing, you can also use a heat pack.

To the OP: breather bags aren't necessary. Just make sure you're not freezing them or cooking them during transit.
