Shrimp Boxing?
 

So I'm watching the shrimp in my desk nano, and 2 of the CRS/CBS are rearing up at each other on their tails and slap fighting :) Didn't last long, but funny to watch!

PS: I know CRS are CBS with a red twist in their genes, but I have one CBS that seems to have red instead of black on it's tail flutes (ribs, struts, don't know the proper name) - is that common?

Yes, now and again the blacks will either be brown, or get a red tail. Even though the red is recessive and the black dominant, every once in a while you get a co-dominance thing going on with them.

You have some of the rare "sissy slap fighting" shrimp!!!! Very rare!!

Was it 2 females fighting over a male? Maybe they were filming their own version of "Jerry Springer" and the DNA results came back as to who was the daddy. Lol

OMG, the phrase "whos your daddy" resonated after reading the original post. LOL

All I heard was " he's my man". That would be hilarious to video and dub in some vocals. That would keep me and my kids amused for hours

Maybe there was a piece of food they were fighting for? I have seen this typically over food.

That's a throwback to the wild ones who all look like that. I have a whole tank of them.
