Amano attacking corys

Anyone else having these issues? I added the amanos and within two weeks found my two smallest corys dead. Nothing else in the tank has change, I did move my betta in there because his tank got redone. But his too slow to even touch them.

possibly,, My amano bullies 50 +- CRS in the tank for food. No fatality though.

Amanos are opportunistic feeders, however I have never seen them get a hold of a healthy fish

My male Amanos seem pretty laid back and/or scared of things but the females will even stand up to the little (2.5") Pleco when it's feeding time.

I've never seen them "attack" anyone but I can see how under the right circumstances accidents might happen...

They probably died from unrelated causes, and the amanos swooped in to eat their bodies.

Agreed. Just doing their job.

Also just because the betta couldn't catch them, didn't mean it didn't harass them to death. Some betta's are relentless, especially after the lights go out. I've had fish with a betta, seemed fine, lights go out, dead fish in the morning.

crays exhibit the same opportunistic behavior
