What is this gross worm?
I already looked in the "what is this bug thread" but this is very unusual... Ugly... And gives me the chills. The closet thing it looks like is planaria. But this is different... It's fast.... It goes from being 1cm and stretches to 3cm in a blink of an eye. It's brown. And it seems to attatched itself to the glass with a mouth kind of like a leech... And it can swim, it wiggles. Ill let the pictures do justice. I was able to catch it and put it in a spoon

If each end can suck and stay attached to something, sort of like an inch worm, then it's a leech.
If it's red and has setae(hairs) like the marine polycheates, well, I've had them up to about 4-5" long myself, not sure what those are. Looks more like a leech to me, Hirudenia. |
It seems to only suck on one end. And the other end is like it's eye, doesn't attatch to anything just maneuvers
It has no hairs, just 1 whole body part. |
Should I be concerned that I have this in my tank? What are the effects of having this? I'm Clueless
|
Flush flush I wouldn't leave in tank
|
Yeah I removed it the moment I saw it.
|
Yep, sounds like a leech to me too.
|
Should I be concerned that there is more leeches?
|
Did you put anything new in your tank lately?
I would keep checking your tank. |

Oh man that is so creepy. It went from being fat/stubby in the first picture and then elongated in the second picture.
