10 gallon planted betta tank 11/6/12
 

Building up a 10 gallon betta tank. Substrate seachem flourish (15lbs). Small bit of top fin gravel to add a bit of color. Trying to go for a heavily planted with a DIY co2 kit. Small tetra whisper 10i filter. Extremely quiet. Awesome!! T5 fluorescent bulb 18"

Had this tank for years had fish when I was younger no success didn't do my research. Now at age 23 I got the money to do it right.

Also have a 50 gallon with 11 harlequin rasboras 14 tiger barbs 8 panda corydoras. Decently planted with floating plants that I will take some for this plant. The 50 gallon almost a month old just finished cycling.

you may want to add some more plants. its looking a bit empty.

if you have mechanical filter media, you can seep up the clearing with seachem clarity or similar floc agent.

Yea I got a lot more plants coming in. This just some I took from my other tank.

Bought a few things waiting for my plants should be another hour. Attachment 56809 bought this to make a decent baffle for the filter since its a betta tank I'm trying to make the flow as slow as possible. Attachment 56810 in the filter one on top one on bottom. Attachment 56811 bought food for the betta. Any ones used these? Attachment 56812 clear 100% glare from window. Hopefully my plants will get here any minutes.

I use both those foods for my betta and he loves them. He has grown quite a bit since first getting him.

Decided to get my gravel ready. Attachment 56813 cleaned it a good amount real good. Attachment 56814 got it sitting in warm water. Should get plants in a half an hour.

Finally got my shipment my driftwood and assorted plants. Attachment 56864

And it came out decently good. Attachment 56866

Got a betta fish. I believe it's a crown tail betta. Had to rescue him from a little bowl. He looks pretty happy. Attachment 56873

Crown tails have somewhat short and spiky fins, maybe the angle is wrong but he looks like a veil tail. Beautiful job though!
