Goob's 10g DSM
Big day today. I broke down my 10g, put the goldfish in a pond, put the aquarium plants in the new 20g, and decided to start a dsm tank that I'll fill up next spring or summer.

Miracle Grow Organic Choice Potting Mix capped with pea gravel from home depot
two 10W CFL bulbs (soon to buy 13W 6500K CFLs)

-Rotala Rotundifolia "pink sprite" from the pond outside. I want to see what it does
-Rotala 'Singapore'
- alternanthera reineckii
-Hygrophila Kompakt

Anyways, pictures:

^^DHG is on the front left, most of it is buried and hopefully will poke out in no time.

Kind of tough to take attractive pictures of DSM. But yeah I can't wait to see what this looks like in a month or 5. Shame on me for not having any crypts. Any comments, suggestions, criticisms are most welcome.

Is this going to be an emersed tank?

For a while yes. Half of the plants you gave me are in here, the other half are in my 20. Except the HC that's all in here.

I'll fill it up in the spring or summer of 2013 depending on my patience lol.

If I were you I'd switch out the pea gravel with something smaller so that the HC can grow its roots better.

Or just take out all the gravel and just have miracle grow, that's what my emersed tank is.
