Pond Mosquito Control
I live in Phoenix, Arizona and would like to know what fish can prevent mosquitos from breeding in my pond. Thanks.

Almost all fish will eat mosquitoes. It is more of a question of what are the conditions in the pond? Which fish are best suited to the pond. The ones that live will be the best mosquito eaters.
Is it planted? Is the water very hard? What does the temperature do through the day, and through the year? What size is the pond? Is there a lot of water movement? |

Try rice fish. Most garden centers carry them for about $1 each.
Literally uncaring of water conditions. Uncaring of temperature. They even thrive in 106 degree stagnant water. And they are mosquito eating machines. |
mosquitoes fish that's all you need and koi will to.

Keeping a strong circular current or just flow and agitation might help.
In Florida mosquito fish are FREE!, probably someone on this forum can send you some fry. |
Many states or counties have a mosquito abatement or vector control department. Many of these will give away Mosquito Eaters. These are a fish that looks a lot like a Guppy, but are more aggressive, and more adapted to a wider range of conditions.
