Have you tried Acurel?
Hello Everyone,
Myself and some of my co-workers were wordering if anyone on the message boards has ever used Acurel F Water Clarifier. Let us know your experience! |
I recently bought some Acurel for a 10 gallon that I was having problems with -- it cleared up and has stayed clear since! No scary side effects, either, like the O2 level being altered. Thanks for a great product!

Haven't tried it. I have seen the adverts on the forum and going to check it out though.
EDIT: let me take that back, I use the filter fiber in my HOB's and my Zoo Med 501 canister. Go figure! |

For what it's worth, the Acurel-F is awesome in conjunction with substrates like Turface. I have used it to clear up that lingering "fog" that hangs in the water and it works really quickly. I am really impressed -- I will be using Acurel products whenever I can.

I bought a 3 pound bag of your carbon. My pond was full of tannins from two tropical storms in a month dumping a ton of leaves and sticks in it. It looked like strong tea. In 48 hours it was crystal clear.

Just thought I'd let you all know that Acurel-F seems to be perfectly safe with CRS and PFR. A competitor's product I'd used made them molt and the females drop eggs. None of that with your product. :-)

I work at a lfs and acurel-f is the only one i reccomend to my customers. It really works!

Acurel F works great when you are setting up tanks with Amano soil. When the water is cloudy. I turn on the filter and then add the drops and within about an hour or so its clear.
