New Atomic V3 Co2 regulator CGA320!

We finally finished the Atomic V3 regulator to fit full sized co2 cylinders. Its the same regulator as our current model of Atomic regulators only with the ability to thread directly to full sized cylinders with CGA320 valves.

We should have them listed on the site in 24hrs.

Its pretty sweet to say the least!

Would this be good for a nano tank setup, keeping 1-2 bps?

Personally I would suggest this as its for paintball tanks and is more favored with nano setups.

However with both models, you'll need a bubble counter

I have a bubble counter and a CO2 diffuser. (I've been acquiring parts in bits and pieces) Where do you purchase paintball canisters, are they refillable?

jkan0228 09-15-2012 06:51 PM

I got mine at sports authority. Pretty cheap for a 20oz or 24oz. Like $5 to refill.

Get a paintball tank on amazon. Got my 20 oz. tanks for $16 shipped (each).
Fill them at sports stores.

thanks for the info, it's very helpful!

How do you keep the canisters upright?

jkan0228 09-16-2012 03:29 AM

They stay upright themselves.

thanks, and sorry for the totally newbie question.

I found this one at Sports Authority... is there anything to look for/avoid? Is higher psi better for aquarium use?

jkan0228 09-16-2012 03:56 AM

Try amazon. Cheaper.

Psi is the pressure per square inch so the point of the regulator is to reduce the psi from the paintball tank or CO2 tank(800-1000psi) to around a useable range (0-60psi).

Regular ceramic diffusers only need 10 psi but if you're using atomic diffusers from GLA or Up Aqua, you'll need above 30 psi which can be adjusted on the regulator.

bluestems 09-16-2012 04:16 AM

The diffuser is a Do!Aqua music glass mini.

I checked on Amazon and found three options, but each had negative reviews (bad o-rings to pins that bent after first fill). Makes me nervous to even try!

jkan0228 09-16-2012 04:42 AM

You'll only need 10 psi for that.
