The higher grades arent even available to us, sucks. Like the deeper blues and such.

I've only seen the super dark ones on SN in Asia too.

Yeah, but if you asked how many housed blue bolts bet you would get more than one person who is and those cost ALOT more!

From what I understand Aura Blues are just like Blue Versions of TT, is the recent discovery what is limiting the supply to the US? If it is I wouldn't worry. Some asian shrimp farm is probably mass breeding them and they will be shipped over soon enough lol

Even some of the wholesale lists I look over they have BB,WR,KK, SSS+, PFR all in huge quantity and Aura Blues are listed as limited quantity, so maybe not a lot breeding them yet. Tigers too from Asia seem to be a bit limited. It's the Germans that love them some Tigers.

I never got the tiger craze haha.

Back on topic, auras are the coolest shrimp ever. The US will get them soon enough... you just gotta wait a little. They're worth it lol. Also, I'm unsure of what you mean by darker grade auras because afaik they just come in different shades of blue.

The supply IS still somewhat limited.

There is also anecdotal evidence that the selection and breeding process to create the blue strain of caridina serrata (or perhaps some unknown factor in this color strain) has made the Aura Blue shrimp more sensitive and difficult to keep than other caridina serrata (like the Tangerine Tiger).

Some of the darker Aura Blues I've seen from Asia look pretty sweet, but the lighter blue ones that you see available here in the states do nothing for me. Maybe they look better in person, but from photos they just look like a tiny bit darker version of Blue Pearls which is definitely not worth the price tag to me.
