There moving and as far as I can see prolonging a slow death, what a shame.

I saw those ads and was concerned.....I hope they can survive. I have been there once and it is a great little fish store.

I stopped by there last week after a visit a year ago. They are downsizing now to the same store dimensions AC first had when AC first moved to that location. The move should be completed by February. Let's hope Aquarium Depot can achieve the same standards of excellence AC had in it's heyday.

Stopped by there weeks ago. Very helpful staff. Most of their tanks were down since they are about to move. Can't wait until they are up and running in the new location.

Where/when are they moving? I went in there a few weeks ago, and it looked like they were about out of business.

Just my two cents...I dont think Aquarium Center, Aquarium Depot will EVER be the same and that is down right a shame as that used to be one of the best aquarium stores ever in the US, i have lived in 7 states and traveled alot and I can honestlt say that.

Once one partner was bought out by the other, thats when the store went doen hill. The partner that retained ownership, did and does not want to reinvest in the store for some reason. He basically said no more wholesale to us tank maintence guys and right there he lost about 20% of his business.

Then there was a mass exodus of employees and that just sealed the deal. I remember I used to spend hours in that store looking at new and rare fish and plants, not to mention there dry goods section. Last time I was in there, I was in and out in less then 10 minutes as there was NOTHING to look at. This was a year ago and have not been back since.

I REALLY hope they can come back and try to be the store that they once were. Such a great store.....GONE.....

Just went to Aquarium Depot today to see the new store. I am extremely disappointed. It's much smaller than the previous store, and not much of a selection. At least half the tanks had one or two dead fish in them.
The only store I will go to occasionally is House of Tropicals.

Sad to hear it but this store is closing down. They are selling all their tanks on Craigslist ... fish are still normal prices though .. so sad. I miss how the store was before the relocate.

Nope, looks like they really are closing. I'm on their email list, and just got a "Going Out of Business Sale" email from them.

Such a shame. Years ago, they were such a great store.

100% sure they are closing. I was in there today and 80% of their tanks are empty and almost all their products are gone. I got some drift wood that I got over charged for but I thought.. they need the extra $5 for more than I do I guess so I didn't say anything. Such a shame ... I loved how this store was years ago.

Yeah I did get the email too bad. I only went there once and it was in the process of moving. I wish I could have seen it when it was amazing

umm.... if wholesaling to tank maint guys was 20% of their business, either their business was terrible or you don't understand wholesale. If You mean 20% of their volume.... well that is different. ON wholesale items the store is making no or very little money. So regardless of the fact that they are selling lots of stuff to you, they aren't making any money. They are however having to take the time to order it, get it it, and sort it out for the people who are "buying" it.

That is a favor to other businesses. No way is it going to keep a business open.
