Java fern 'trident'

Just thought I would try to get some pics of unfurling trident leaves

Gotta say I love this plant.

is it a variant from needle leaves or entirely different species?

cool plant!

my needle leaf started to do this when it was under less than desirable conditions, really low light, no ferts, no set lighting schedule... Not saying that they are the same...

This plant only gets to around 3.5 inches max for me
