glosso maintenance

Alright, so I've stepped up to the plate and am trying my hand at a glosso carpet. Of course I bought a bunch of it in a fit of rage after my mishap while I was in Texas and didn't realize what I'm getting myself into.

Just how hard is it to maintain? After hours of planting it yesterday I've already noticed some growth and pearling.

I'm trying to maintain my usual fert schedule of 10:1 Nitrate:Phosphate, and about 1 mL of PMDD (plantex csm-b). My lighting is still at 4.4 (sig below), so I figure the conditions are good.

Any advice would be great! Please share your experiences with this plant (good and bad). Thanks.

I was able to form a nice carpet with 3.4 WPG and DIY C02.

The plant grows very fast and once it forms a carpet it will start to grow upwards. Once the carpet is formed it starts to overshadow itself and that is why it grows upwards.
On my tank it formed a nice bush. Uhhhm???.... Let’s use another term: It formed a nice shrub.

Here is the tank

I pulled all my glosso out a week ago, beware!

I kept 4 little shoots, replanted it, I will keep it small this time going more for a lilliopsis carpet. which I have kept in the tank since it was established, the glosso kept it buried...

You have to stay on top of the glosso or it will take over..

There really is no way to "trim" glosso. I tried and ended up with tons of unsightly stems. In the end, I decided the best way was to rip the entire carpet out and replant several stems. It will come out like a giant piece of sod. Of course these means you are basically starting your glosso from scratch every few months or so.

I just trim it with a scissor lowering the bunch. You see lots of stems and old yellow leaves but after one week it start to cover it.

I have glosso which has stopped to grow new leaves. It was nice and multiplying at the initial stage. That happen when I remove the older plants, prune and re-planted those single-stem glossso. I reduce the scale of glosso from 5 palms-area to 1 single palm area. Those glosso simply stalll in growth..
Any one encounter this situation before?

I had my glosso stop completely after a few months of incredible growth. I thought there may be problems with the substrate or the PC lights may have lost strength. I replanted the whole thing and growth was better but never as strong as the first time I tried. Right now I have a bit of a stalled growth situation that I'm trying to fix but I'm really trying to avoid tearing it all apart.
