klibs Having just gone into Fish Mike's in Manchester IMO it is the best store in the area for freshwater fish/plants. He has a lot of good stuff and is down to order whatever for you. All his fish are very healthy and he really does a great job.

Has a lot of weird species of tetras, rasboras, etc that I haven't ever heard of. Also he mentioned to me that he wants to start doing high end shrimp which would be AMAZING to have a source for locally.

ReefGuy77 I went to Fish Mike's when they first opened so I think they were still settling in some because there were some empty tank, mainly saltwater. One thing I did notice though was that they definitely had a nice selection of plants when I was there.

mcwiskers1 I'd like to recommend "Fish Mike Aquatics" in Manchester, NH!! He's at 45 Blaine St. You might want to MapQuest it, as it was a little hard to find...I believe it's a somewhat new store..He's AWESOME!! Great selection of freshwater fish, some saltwater, Cichlids...He has some reptiles...Very nice selection of plants! He's extremely knowledgeable, very nice to deal with, and he'll special order for you...It's so nice having a store like that around! I highly recommend him...

itsmesuraj peeps.....

Fish Mike Aquatics is a new Aquarium store that just opened in Manchester NH!

they offer a wide variety of tropical fish, saltwater fish, live plants, aquariums, lighting, filters, food, and all other supplies! We do special orders as well!

Store location:
45 Blaine Street
Manchester, NH 03102

Please check it out and let the people here know. I live in Dover and hate that there are no good plant sources here.

Yep, not many options!

Pet Junction in Somersworth is very close to me - they have a pretty good FW fish selection but have 0 plants to offer (bummer).

Pet City in Seabrook has a good selection of plants - best I've seen around NH. Owners will order you whatever you want as long as you put a deposit down on it. Give them a call if you want harder to find plants - I got my HC there and when they gave it to me it was doing VERY well when I received it.

mfskarphedin I've got some pics of Zoo Creatures' tanks from my last, and i mean LAST visit, but they'd get deleted like my last comment in this thread about the condition of their tanks. Like this one will get deleted!

I prefer the Petco in Dover.

genocdex i might be late and this might be far but zoo creatures in plaistow nh has about 50/50 fresh and salt. and a decent amount of plants. i havent been there in a while but if frank is still working (kinda a bit of abrasive personality) but he knows his stuff.

ggsteve I followed my GPS to the Aquarium Gallery address in Hudson, NH and it's gone too. On the web it says the site name is for sale.

If you want to support an old school mom and pop LFS go to the Fishbowl on the oval in Milford, NH. Tiny little shop but they do have a 40 gallon tank of real aquatic plants, unlike the terrarium crap at the big boxes.

And NO funky algae in their tanks.

Yes, they sold puppies, but I hadn't taken the "No Puppies" pledge way back then.
Yes they are closed.
