legomaniac89 Thanks guys!

Jerry - Yup, it opened at about 11 at night and stayed open until the next evening. I really liked the fragrance too, it reminded me a lot of the Lily of the Valley I have.

limeslide Nice bloom!

hydrophyte Wow that's a gorgeous bloom.

I need to get some pictures of my caudiciform trees. I have a few nice ones and they are mostly all leafed out again now.

jerrytheplater They really are amazing. I love the fragrance. I assume yours was a night bloomer? My Echinopsis looks like yours and it blooms at night. Too bad the flower only lasts a day.

legomaniac89 The E. subdenudata bloomed! This is one of the most impressive cactus flowers I've ever had. It's very fragrant and it's huge! You can see the relative size of the bloom when compared to the cactus itself

I think I have a new favorite cactus flower. And I have a second bud on the way

legomaniac89 Flower buds on my Parodia herzogii

and my Echinopsis subdenudata

legomaniac89 Thanks over_stocked! I'll keep my fingers crossed for the Jades. Hopefully they'll come out of it soon.

Re: Lego's Cacti/Succulent collection + Orchids! - Macro Spine Pics!

I'm having a bad week. Moved my jades outside and they are dropping leaves bad. Some from light change and some appear to be from overwatering. One plant may be root bound but I am nervous to mess with it....

Trying to be patient. One of these I've had for ten years.

Your pics look great as usual.

legomaniac89 Thanks Jake! If you read through the first page or two of this journal, I had a terrarium set up with 2 150W lights and it still wasn't enough to keep succulents happy. At the very least, a bright west-facing window will probably be fine, but full direct sun outdoors all day is by far the best.

RipariumGuy Those are really cool plants! I have been thinking of making a 10g succulent terrarium. Do you think a one or two 23w CFL lights would be enough?

legomaniac89 And the first flower on my NOID Mammillaria opened up earlier too.

legomaniac89 It is a really dewy morning today and the cacti are glistening in the sun, so I had to get a couple pics.

I also found flower buds on my Rebutia fiebrigii and Pardodia herzogii along with the 3 I mentioned a few posts back. Looks like it's gonna be a busy spring for these guys.

jerrytheplater Orchids are nice. I tried once and killed it. Don't really want to try again.

legomaniac89 That sucks Jerry. You'd think the spines would keep deer from eating them. That's gotta be a painful meal, that's for sure. No new news in Cactusland, but a couple orchids are showing off for me.

Phalaenopsis Peloric hybrid - the flowers don't open fully on this morph

Ballooning Phal buds - I'm pretty sure these are yellow

Colmanara Wildcat "Green Valley" - This finished flowering a while back, but I realized I never posted pics of it here

jerrytheplater Deer came by and ate the growing tip off of one of my Chamerocereus silvestri plants. They also ate a lot of my Trichodiadema bulbosum

I hope it has spines festering in its tongue.
