|Urkevitz||He would probably blow everyone away if he did real aquascapes with fish and plants. Maybe he already does but doesn't show them.|

I think you should stick a fish skeleton in the sand for good measure. And maybe a dead plant.

|bsmith||Is a Rift Lake tank "aquascaped? I think so.|

Ahh... Aquascaping it is. I stand corrected.
Would love to see someone submit this for the AGA competition then!!!

pink plants with little white tips...?

|aquaticmaniac||I would call that aquascaping. You don't have to have real plants to aquascape, or plants at all. That one isn't the best I've seen though, but it's an interesting concept.|

|Gatekeeper||The plants aren't real folks.|

looks good to me.. This falls into the diorama category thought. It's done for the purpose of creating an atmosphere for a photograph.
I think a criteria for aquascaping is that it's done for the purpose of creating an environment for fish.
If she had fish in there then I'd say it's aquascaping.

|James1986||i think it looks pretty wild, I'm pretty big into biotopes kinda reminds me of a blackwater setup, but then again kinda looks like a flooded wasteland compared to the typical planted tank lol, gotta give the guy credit good layout for what it is and what he was working with plus he made it to take photos of so he could hang it as a piece of art. Good photo, decent aquarium lol|

No. That is an artsy fad. The plants aren't even real, LOL.
Someone should email him some of the AGA winners... tell him we are already doing it better then him and its all real.
