Planted+ PAR reading
If anyone still interested on PAR reading from
16" Finnex Planted+ I have them here. Its taken from Seneye reef with graph which includes PAR, LUX, and Kelvin.
I've also compared with two lights I got from Amazon supposely with 3W Cree 6500k LED 18W each.

|plantman25||Any updated par ratings for this fixture? I'm planning to get a new fixture but need around 90 at 12". Thanks|

I am very interested - want to see par and pur readings as well as wave length.

If you do I'd be very, very interested!

|acitydweller||I can probably throw together PAR readings on my blog. It will have to wait a few days as I am in the middle of another project.|

I don't think they have a measured combined spectrum published anywhere, only graphs for the individual LEDs.
The fixture consists of roughly 2/3 7000k white, and 1/3 660nm red LEDs, with a small number of the white LEDs replaced with the blue "moonlights".
You've found the spectrum for the red LEDs, here's a post containing the spectrum for just the white LEDs:
Unfortunately, this fails to give us an idea of what the balance between the two looks like when combined.
There are roughly half as many red LEDs as white, but they are putting all their energy into a narrow band, while the white ones are spreading out over a broader band. I'd speculate that the red spike ends up being noticeably taller (maybe 50%-25% taller?) than the blue spike from the 7000k's, but that is only semi-educated guesswork.

|Tetraodon||Is there a picture of the wavelength (nm) spectrum of the Planted+? (sorry if I've missed it somewhere obvious, but I can only find it for the red LEDs)|

PAR readings for the planted+ would be very nice.

|Mark.burns43||People are having problems with fluvals new planted leds can't get a definate answer on par below 6 inches hahahah. I currently have a 24inch fluval on my 37 gallon tall tank would it beneorth buying one of these fuge ray planted plus 30 inch fixture as a add on to get some stronger light to the bottom I'm at 18 inches to sub strate ttying to grow hc|

|Brian_Cali77||Why don't you guys invest or rent a Licor meter? Is it that difficult? I would think that a company so invested in the business of lighting aquariums would absorb that into the cost of doing business.|

|xev11||Anything would be good!|

|Lowe||Hey guys. Ya, I can get a quick reading on the Planted+ with an Apogee if you like. It won't be entirely accurate but it's something. Developing the new light, we have access to a proper Licor meter but sadly can't get it for the Planted+ atm.|

|Ghia||The numbers for the Planted+ have been missing since the units were released. I doubt anyone at Finnex had a vacation since then.. ;-)|

that would be correct. They lost access to their connection with an accurate PAR meter - and don't want to publish bad results.
