plantman25 Any updated par ratings for this fixture? I'm planning to get a new fixture but need around 90 at 12". Thanks

Kensho I am very interested - want to see par and pur readings as well as wave length.

Do you have access to a PAR meter that can detect light at 660nm? (ie: not an Apogee, which cuts off all light above 650nm).

If you do I'd be very, very interested!

mattinmd I don't think they have a measured combined spectrum published anywhere, only graphs for the individual LEDs.

The fixture consists of roughly 2/3 7000k white, and 1/3 660nm red LEDs, with a small number of the white LEDs replaced with the blue "moonlights".

You've found the spectrum for the red LEDs, here's a post containing the spectrum for just the white LEDs:

http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=189944

Unfortunately, this fails to give us an idea of what the balance between the two looks like when combined.

There are roughly half as many red LEDs as white, but they are putting all their energy into a narrow band, while the white ones are spreading out over a broader band. I'd speculate that the red spike ends up being noticeably taller (maybe 50%-25% taller?) than the blue spike from the 7000k's, but that is only semi-educated guesswork.

Tetraodon Is there a picture of the wavelength (nm) spectrum of the Planted+? (sorry if I've missed it somewhere obvious, but I can only find it for the red LEDs)

+1

PAR readings for the planted+ would be very nice.

Almost one month later........

Ghia The numbers for the Planted+ have been missing since the units were released. I doubt anyone at Finnex had a vacation since then.. ;-)

that would be correct. They lost access to their connection with an accurate PAR meter - and don't want to publish bad results.
