Yeah I know but when it comes to plants, they are lacking. More about sick lids.
When I wrote NYAA, I wanted to create that group.

|Gatekeeper||I think there is a New York club already, so you maywant to slip in the "City" in there, such as NYCAA or something. Just throwing it out there.|

Has anyone joined http://aquariums.meetup.com/94/?
I really want to hold a meeting but I didn't want to since renationaL AKA spypet sugested another means of meeting other aquarist.
Possibley make a group called NYAA New York Advance Aquatics. Basically meaning a group is interested in going beyond what is offered by most retail chain petstores and focusing on plants.
So I like to hear NYC's feedback

If something does come of this, I'd be interested.

|bereninga||Is this still going on? An NYCAGC? I'd like to participate. Of course, I'm already a part of NJAGC, but maybe there can be some sort of collaboration.|

|thief||well I live in CT and we have no planted society so I am up for this. Maybe a site or something. Also it would be awesome if at every meeting someone brought a ank that they had to tear down and others brought materials and plants to make a awesome tank. Anyways just throwing ideas out on how I would do it. I think if everyone pitched in it would be fun.|

looks like someone beat you to it...
so it might be better to support
this, than start your own group.
most are planted tank interested,
though few are advanced like you.
advanced people tend to go to the
older established aquatic societies
in Brooklyn and New Jersey, or just
use the web to find their peers.

Hey guys I have to really appoligize for the extreme delay. I have been so extremely busy at school that I couldn't even organize one meeting. Its hard when ur the president of the martial arts club and u also have biochemistry plust 3 other sciences. lol
Anyway I am trying to make a meeting soon. Possibly in may the latest. I'll keep u posted.
And to be different from all the other clubs, I want to make this a more advance club. In the sense that it will mostly focus on planted tanks and not natural planted tanks. Although begingers are welcomed and wil sometimes go into that topic.
For the next meeting, I want to focus on plants. If thats fine with everyone, please post here to show that you are interested.

I'm a newbie to this forum. Live in S.I. but work in downtown Manhattan.
I would be interested.

|territhemayor||I'm down for this, I'm in westchester and I envy the NJAGC or whatever it is, they seem very organized.|

|tsr||Yes i know there are but alot do not relate to alot of the people I know or are to far from the people I know. Some of these aquarium groups you have to be biologist and botanist to be in. And thats for real.|

There is New York Aquarium clubs already. Just not a Aquatic Gardeners Club or a Aquatic Plant Club.
We need like a NYAGC ,New York Aquatic Gardeners Club

|tsr||Well I'm going to take the step. I'm starting a New York city Aquarium hobby club. If you are interested send me a PM and i will respond. And if you have any ideas that would be good to just send me a PM. We have to get this started one way or another and i think its now.|
