Security Question
While balancing on a piece of wood, two inches by four inches known as a 2x4, John and his friend Sally both spotted a dalmatian inside of a truck with sirens. The animal with John and Sally is a _ _ _?

Subtletanks91 No but it could be shrimp safe haha. I suppose if they did it horizontally they would add more outflow bars to acomadate the length?

Virto I think the concern becomes the size of the "special area" where waste collects below the substrate, and how effectively simple water pressure would be at emptying that reservoir.

As it is, it is not at all appropriate for any species of fish. There's zero swimming space horizontally.

tandaina They could easily make that wider than it is tall I'd think, couldn't they? As is it isn't very appropriate for a betta...

Subtletanks91 Yeah I agree. The heater and filter I think are still necessary. Unless heavily heavily planted. But the concept is pretty cool

Virto Neat idea, but of course they go on to say how great they are for bettas, even though there's no heater and practically no horizontal space.

Make something like this is a wider, 5-gallon size, and we've got a neat product. Until then, it's just like any other fish-misery hotel.

Terminalance Nice concept! I guess it kind of functions like a reverse UGF.

No clean tank???

I stumbled across this video on YouTube. Though I would share it. Pretty cool even with the simple overflow concept. Would definatly make water changes in small jars easier.
