Boz aHHH! I looked all over for a tiger lotus! I'm glad to hear that someone got one. I have one, but it's tiny...I still love it. I was looking around for a few folks from PF who've been searching high and low for some.

And thanks for the reminder about the monthly auctions. I haven't been there since the vote, so I tend to forget.

*edit* have any pics of the lotus?

I got an anub from him that was fantastic! that was the first time I'd met him. What a very nice guy. I really miss the club.

JenThePlantGeek They ARE monthly! Just on a much smaller scale at the CCAC meetings

Brio is such a nice guy, isn't he? I love splitting bags, that's the way to do it! John was nice enough to divvy up some of his stuff with me. And WOW, that tiger lotus that I got from Fani is about the most amazing thing ever.

Boz Jen, I definitely am planning on coming to the meeting Thurs. Honestly, I don't think I could squeeze one more plant into my tanks! I was so grateful to Brio for splitting one of those 50# bags of najas with me! We also split some HM and I can't remember what else, but god bless him!

I'm glad those killies are settling in for you. I have no idea what possessed me to bid on them. I think I just got carried away in the excitement. When I realized my idiocy, I was so glad to be able to give them back to a club member. I don't even know if those are mop or soil spawners, but Kelly had given some to Mike, so I'm sure you can get details from them. Maybe if you get eggs or fry, I'll take a few and give them a try. I've never done killies, and it's almost like a mental block for me, they scare the crap out of me...sort of like Math!

What a great time! I wish auctions were monthly!

JenThePlantGeek Yeah, how about those huge plant portions eh? There were bags of Rotala that must have been 10 lbs!

Lori - thanks for those killies! They settled in very nicely and are looking right at home. If you ever decide to find a place for them at your house, just let me know. Think you'll be to the next meeting? I could bring some plants for you?

It was a great auction, always a lot of fun. Those of us that stuck it out to the end got some really great deals. THEN I went home, put everything away, and slept for 15 hours! The night before I had only gotten about 45 minutes of sleep...

One of my favorite things was nano heaters 7.5 watts - I got 3 for $10. I really held back on bidding this time, but I still managed to spend $88 total. I REALLY wanted some blueberry shrimp, but alas I had no good place to put them. You guys should get those breeding so we'll have a local Indy supply!!! They were going for about, what? I saw one bag of 10 go for $28? Fantastic price!

Brian A I had a good time as well. My girlfriend got into it a few times and bid higher than i would have gone but she know that I want a few things. I also got some of those shrimp and I can't find anything as well.
She was very happy that she got some livebearers for her new tank and she loves their name,, flexipenis vittata.. lol I think she is still laughing about that one. All i can say is that the plant portions were huge and i have no idea how i fit some of them in. Great job guys!!!!!!!

Boz It was a great auction! Man, stuff was selling really high! I couldn't believe how much cherry shrimp were going for. I should have taken in a few bags.

I got some "blueberry" shrimp, but of course, I can't find anything online about them, so I'm totally unsure what to do with them.

Lots of great crypts and other plants were there. I got a 20g H with cover and light for $22. I ended up sitting next to a very nice guy from CCAC and we split a few bags of plants which is always nice.

Jen, I hope you kept those killies? for some odd reason I decided to buy them, and then I thought, "ok, what the heck do I do with these things?" Thank you so much for taking them off my hands!!

I had to leave early and there were tons of great things left.
T'was a very great time!

JenThePlantGeek I know there will be at least 4 bags of cherries in the auction, probably more.

Wilder Ack! How did I miss seeing this earlier?

I wonder if anyone will have cherry shrimp there...?
