Ya my tank is 22" deep sounds like a couple ray 2 is what I need. thanks

Not to speak for finnex but par numbers have not been released. They have advised that it will be less par than RAY2. With you aiming for 40-50 par we would need to make that estimate based on your complete tank specs but if I was going to guess for that level you are probably looking at RAY2 level of intensity unless the tank is really shallow.

carpalstunna Will the planted + be more or less bright than the ray 2? I have a 22" need tank and am wanting a par of 40-50. I guess I am trying to decide if I should wait for the planted + or get a ray 2 now

I have a ray-r on my 20high and it works awesome! Also has red booster LEDs. The ray you might have to hang above the tank depending on what dimensions the tank is. The ray-r clips on the back. Just saying

byrd746 Dang, I was hoping it would be ready for October. This is going to be my first Finnex purchase also. Lowe, do you think the new fixture will be too much for a low tech 20L? I was thinking about waiting or should I just go ahead with the FugeRAY?
