|NWGBR||Best way I have made them stay alive is by removing the parents as soon as the hole fry starts swimming and hand feed the fry my self. My survival number when up after so many trys and attempts, congrats|

|Scottyhorse||I have a pair of German Blue Rams. From the very first time, they have raised their eggs to hatching. Unfortunately, with my rowdy community tank, none of the fry live. However, I am starting a fish room soon, and I should be able to start raising some of their eggs!|

|Amiller||she's a beauty!! I notice you have terracotta pots with plants in your tank there, I don't have a soil based substrate, is that a good cheat to add plants requiring places to root?|

Yes I do I have two pair of EBRs too that I got from Matt/Mark. I can only say that they are the best quality I have had so far. They retain their blue color and it sparkles. If I am lucky enough to get them to breed now, I will be very happy.
I have been told they are not so good with eggs, so am prepared to artificially hatch the EBRs eggs just to preserve them.
My GBRs are just gorgeous, and very good parents.
I had this happen to me with Angels (Pinoy Paraibas) before, where I was told they would eat the eggs, yet I ended up with a pair that not only tended their own eggs, but raised some 15 platinum fry that I dumped in beside their own dark babies....was fun to see the black and white babies all being herded around by these Angels.

pics of my GBR female with her brood!
Here is my female GBR that I got from Matt/Mark on this forum.
This is to show that they DO sometimes manage to look after their
Babies look like little eyeballs with fat bellies right now. They are swimming around her head. She herds them across the tank and when she's not doing it the male does it. Very protective pair!
They are about 1 week freeswimming now. These are longfin GBRs. I think about 30+ that I can count fast before they swim away again.
