Just read this thread through and for anyone who wants the option of a programmable option to add dimming settings for this unit. You could simply switch the moonlight blue bulbs for a row of mixed reds and blues (if you don't like/use the moonlight option). You now have a shorter low intensity addition you can use. The moonlight setting comes on a separate chord and could have its own timer. This would allow you to program in three light settings.
Low light- Make your own mix or red or daylight bulbs with the moonlight row. Set a timer for the morning ramp up and afternoon cooldown period
Moderate light- Program the big panel to switch on after the ramp up.
Intense light- Add the moonlight panel you modified while the big light panel is on to offer the most intense light you can manage.
If you don't like the moonlight setting this could make this a more programmable light.

Im really excited for the release of this fixture. please keep the 30" unit. I currently have a 40 gallon tall (around 24in to lowest point) and i want to add another finnex fixture very soon to get into the high light range. I currently have a 30" dual 7K unit. should i wait for this one to come out to compliment it or should I choose a different fixture currently available? I also like the moonlight option but its not a must especially if i couldnt run it on a timer.

So how is the planted+ different from the fugeray and ray lines? Or more to the point why should i hold off on buying a regular fugeray now? Are you going to continue to sell all three led products or will fugeray become the planted+ product? Any chance there will be separate cords for the regular and moonlights so we can use our own timers?

Will this model be better for plants like HC/Glosso than the Finnex Ray 2? Im trying to decide if I should wait for it or just buy the Ray 2 :/ :/

Sizes that will be releasing are as follows: 12", 16, 20, 24, 30, 36, & 48~!

The lengths I care about are 30", 36" and 48".
I don't care about moonlights or timers.
High par at 100% and an on board dimmer are features that interest me.(buidmyled charges 14.99 to add a dimmer I would fork that out on top of the price of the new finnex without hesitation).
Independent control of color would be great, but I'm not sure it would be a deal breaker.
storm programs don't interest me at all.

|Zimmanski||One thing that I think would be easy and cheap enough to provide to the buyers without increasing cost would be larger brackets/mounts/legs, whatever you call them. My 48" ray 2 is sitting on top of the glass lids instead of with the legs like I want it to be because the legs won't fit over the frame of my 75 gallon tank.|

|Mike1239||Agreed, my timer idea is a cheap one and I know I have paid well over what some of the lights I have are worth... And they were from a good reputation company|

|Zimmanski||I think something that should be added along side the "wish list" of things that everyone posts should be a price they expect to pay for all the things they want. I personally like the price that the current fixtures come with, and although weather effects, built in timers, more LEDs, more par, moon lights, longer cords, so on and so on would be great, I can't imagine what it would cost to include all of these features.|
