Great to. See another tank in the cola area!
Thanks. I am dosing a full EI regime. It's good knowing there is other in the area. Not to many good stores with a plant selection.

whats your lighting? PAR? sure ferts./ dosing of iron is what red plants need, but intense light keeps the red plants 'sunburned' if that makes any sense to yuh!

Update please.

Enjoying the black substrate opposed to the white pool sand.
I am using a Nova Extreme 2xT5HO 78W. I'm not sure what the PAR rating is. For my understanding it put me in medium - high range. The reflectors aren't the best. I am already adding extra iron but I think it need extra lighting for to red to come out. Maybe a Finnex Ray 2.

dasob85 I dont want the plants bent over but I like watching the leaves move. Otherwise, it is kind of boring to look at lol.

I guess you already have pretty good water movement with 2 filters and a powerhead though

Did you try pointing the powerhead straight across the tank instead of down at the plants? How did flow look then?
My driftwood really didn't leach much tannin when I first got it. But as the placement I have tired a couple spots. I'm not really looking for a strong flow just added it improve circulation. I have 2 Fluval 206. This was the best spot I could place it would swaying the plants to much or the cord sticking out in the tank to bad. If I could somehow place it more to the bottom I would. feel like if there is any

Steezy B I've heard plants don't need sway; I was just getting a powerhead for increased water movement and no dead spots

The rummynose are fine with it but you can't really plant anything in front of it or it will sway or get sucked in by the impeller. I have mine towards the top going long ways.

Nelsontreyjones Update: 5/2/2013

So I decided to change my substrate from pool filter sand to eco complete. Added 4 bags at 80 pounds. Gave about 2 1/2 inches .Altogether it took me about 3 hours or so. While everything was out did some rescaping and trimming as well.
