chansman well now I have three fixtures to chose from...the new tank I just bought has a single T8. I think the PC fixture would still be best for now...right?

jflng I'd d bet the 2x65w PC by itself would work well for medium+ light.

exv152 Both combined will work for med lighting assuming the bulbs are still good.

loaded lighting question

I was going to rebuild my T5HO 2-bulb fixture (smoked an end cap) but that's not working out. I got a couple of fixture in a trade this week...I didn't want them they were "bonus"

The first is a 2 x 65w PC with what appear to be really good reflectors and the second is a 2 x 40w T12.

The tank is a standard 75g with 2-3" of substrate.

I know neither is as good as a T5HO but they were
Would either get me to medium light?
