dtejeda.arias It had the neon mixed gravel with a neon coral center piece lol. I painted the blue background experimenting. I had a fish room about 2 yrs ago with all 30L tanks and 20s for raising daphnia and breeding whatever I could get from skiptons that caught my eye.

CrypticLifeStyle Right on, i work at mount auburn hospital @ the main location or another down concord ave near alewife. So would be easy to meet you then. Perfect. I guess i can do anyday. i work from 6am to 3pm m-f Tomorrow would be great as i'm going back to Leominster tonight for the night, and i can grab the java moss from there. Staying in my arlington house thursday night so i wouldnt be able to grab it for friday, til saturday.

lol i hate color. I'm more of a black color person lol. Did it have the pink, black, and blue rocks with the blue background?

dtejeda.arias I work in central square Cambridge. I'm usually around there from 8 to 4 everyday except for Wednesday I do second shift and off on the weekends. Tomorrow or Friday would work best. Let me know, so i can throw it in my back seat for you. Some java moss would be awesome actually.

Btw what's wrong with the colorful travel. It looks pretty super neon bright colors lol! It was a tank a gave to my aunt for a baby RES then once I set my 75g her RES founds its way in to my tank. Either she didn't want to keep cleaning it, or she passed the work load to me. Tank has been empty for about a year.

CrypticLifeStyle Ok im interested. I can maybe pick up saturday unless your in the cambridge/arlington area thursday after 3pm? Want any dwarf lettuce? I can give you a bunch. It just grows like wildfire for me, been giving it away weekly lol or some java moss or both?

dtejeda.arias It's just a regular 20g I also have a 5g bucket with About 50lbs of play sand I took out of my last tank if you need some....

CrypticLifeStyle Hmm, what are the dimensions? I'd pass on the gravel though, and may strip the blue paint, and use black :P The intended use is for a secondary stem plant tank with some endlers
. I'll prob use eco with some flourite, and a dab of playsand in it which seems to be working great in my bigger tanks. :-)

dtejeda.arias I got a 20g you can have. It has 2 sides painted blue, colorful gravel, and it needs a major cleaning.

SouthernCichlids It's the same LxW dimensions of a 29 I believe, just taller.
04-03-2013 12:13 PM
CrypticLifeStyle Depends on the dimensions.
I could use it up top, but not sure of any footprints for a 37T
30L x 12D x 22H?
20L x 18D x 24H?

that could fit below, leaving me with a 29g to get rid of, and still be looking for a bottom tank
04-03-2013 12:06 PM
SouthernCichlids How about the 37 tall? The height would keep it low tech but also be cool for a sandy substrate while you focus on growing plants and mosses on driftwood or rocks that are closer to the surface

Looking for a tank

I got a 29 gal Petco Brooklyn Metal Tank Stand off someones yesterday. I already have a 29g for the top, but looking for a tank for the bottom thats less then 27" in length, 12.5 wide which should fit given the top fits 30x12.5 minus the 2-3" loss for stand legs. I know petco is having their $1 gallon sale, but curious if there was any better deals about

Standard sizes i'm looking at:

15 Gallon 24 1/4 x 12 1/2 x 12 3/4
20 High 24 1/4 x 12 1/2 x 16 3/4
25 Gallon 24 1/4 x 12 1/2 x 20 3/4
30 X-High 24 1/4 x 12 1/2 x 24 3/4

No filters needed, MAYBE a light capable of growing plants, but not needed. I grow all mine off shop lights, so nothing too serious
