Blackheart Bought 9 Neon Tetras today from the LFS by me that I frequent... Hoping they will do just fine and survive the acclimation process.

plantetra Hi guys, I have a tiny 20g planted tank. I call it hi tech tank as I have CO2 at pressure. I live in the west bloomfield area.

180g...I can't even fathom a tank that big!! I <3 discus...I'd love to have a discus tank, when we eventually finish our basement, but I think I'd have to invest in a RO system, since our tap water is on the hard side.

Right my 50g is pretty much set...just waiting on a female Bolivian ram to be available. Starting to toy with the thought of a 15-20 low-tech set-up for maybe 3 pea puffers. I'd probably buy a larger stand and keep that tank and my 5g together on it. Right now my 5g is on an open-bottomed table and it's a cluttered mess of cords and stuff underneath. I'd love to hide all that stuff in a cabinet.

Maechael Blackheart you seem to sell more than you keep haha. I hope the tank recovers though.

Blackheart Not much activity here huh? I recently decided that I might be going to save up for wooden canopy for my tank as I really like the way it looks. I already have the matching stand. The same LFS, Kee's, if anyone's interested has Marineland 75 gallon tanks on sale for 120 bucks so check that out.

Sadly also recently my tank has came down with some kind of infection I believe and killed almost my entire Neon Tetra population I went from having 17 to 5 in a matter of a day... I think it might be due to having dead fish clogged inside of the aquaclear filter that I couldn't see so I didn't notice it and it's decaying body caused the others to get sick. It had to be in there at least a month. I have been treating the 5 I have left with this fungal medicine from API for the past week or so and they seem to be doing okay.

Also on another note... I have a bunch of aquarium supplies for sale if anyone's interested so check out the thread!

Maechael Dude that is one impressive tank. Really digging the stacke slate pieces.

Blackheart Yeah pretty cool tank. I'm assuming it's a 6 foot tank?

I bought a new Hydor 350 Professional External Canister filter on Amazon to replace my two Aquaclear 70 filters on my 55 gallon tank. They do a good job but get ridiculously gunked up in no time. It would also be nice to use something that isn't so bulky looking in the tank, which under my impression, most canister filters aren't.

Blackheart Well we can chat back and forth! :p

I also was supposed to meet someone today to buy some gravel off me for 30 bucks and they said to let them know when I was ready... Unfortunately they never responded. Idk what's with people like that.

Blackheart I recently purchased a new T5HO fixture. It is a Hagen Glo T5HO single bulb 54 watt fixture for my 55 gallon tank. I think this should work out more to my liking. 108 watts is way too much for this tank for low-tech. Quite pricey though at 150 on ebay but it was brand new and the seller only had one left.

I've been driving myself crazy going back and forth trying to find a LED light that I could have for low to medium plants needs and one person says the planted plus or 24 7 shouldn't be too much light and then the other one says it is. But I like the Hagen Glo fixtures as it as has its own system for raising it up if you like on the sides of it. Too bad they don't make then anymore.

I will be more than likely putting my Aquaticlife 2 bulb 54 watt fixture up on Amazon.
