Their discounts are 55% off at the moment. But, they really didn't have much left honestly. Well, they did have a few used tanks left. They had several 30 gallon long tanks for 25 bucks.
Most of their stuff was picked through.
So I recently had a lot of issues with trying to choose lighting for my 55 gallon... if you see this thread here... http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=857737
Anyways finally just said screw it and picked up an Aquaticlife 48 inch fixture. I don't know if it's going to be so much light that it's going to cause algae issues or what, considering it's 108 watts over a 55 gallon tank. But I figure I'll just go with it and see what happens. I might try to filter some of the light somehow or block it out. And probably change the bulbs.
I could kick myself though because I had this same lighting system for my 75 that I had sold since I had intended originally not to use it..

Blackheart: What are there discounts down to now?
Picked up another Oto since 1 of the 3 that I bought last time got caught in the filter and got stuck and died.
My lamp eye tetras looked like they where getting ready to spawn. looks like I have 1 female and 5 males. Go figure. I'll keep an eye on them and update if anything comes of it.
Put the 3 otos in the 25g bowfront since it was fully covered in brown diatoms. Yeah, that lasted like 2 days.
I can't tell if the large one is a male or female, but it's massive.

Pretty cool. I'm getting closely to setting up my 55... I hope... I'm still trying to decide on substrate. I picked up 5 5LB bags of Estes Swift Creek gravel today from the Aquarium Shop in Royal Oak for 2.50 a piece. I wish they had more of it because that's not enough for my 55. Pretty cool that all it cost me was 14 bucks for everything I got though.
I'm contemplating using that gravel. It seems it's really hard to find the kind of gravel I'm picturing in my head.

Did all three, really need to work on the upload of pictures/taking them.
Hard to take good photos with clay covered hands.
Hope to be able to turn plants into tradeable materials by the middle of next month, rotala and ludwigia responded nicely, microsword exploded others, meh.
Thinking the rotala may give way to lloydiella and various ludwigias once I have as much as I want.

|Maechael||I'm starting new emersed growth setups tonight, hopefully 3 of them.|

Sounds like a plan mrpixel. I do have a really nice wooden pine stand for my 55, but I kinda wish I had a cast iron metal stand where you could fit 2 48x12 tanks on it. I'd love to have a 55 on top and a 40 long on the bottom. That would be sweet.
I also went to my local Petsmart today and they had a really sweet deal just for this weekend on Aqueon 36 bowfront tanks. The whole setup, light, tank and stand for 149.99... and with in store pick up, it comes to 135 bucks! If I had more room I would have surely bought one. They also started carrying the Aqueon 65 gallon setup.

|mrpixel||Speaking of home depot. I saw that they had a 70% off miss cut wood section. I think I'm going to pic some pieces up to test out my skills at making stands and light supports.|

|Blackheart||Not much for me. I'm finding myself lacking a lot of money lately trying to catch up on bills and such. But I did go to Home Depot yesterday to try to find some gravel and they had some pretty nice pea gravel that was 5 bags for 10 dollars. Can't beat that. I picked up 2 for now since I'm not sure if I want to do another gravel with it or not. Or possibly sand.|

|Maechael||Anything new going on here?|

You can put the details here, but pricing and sales in the appropriate sales section.
That way you draw eyes from two places.

Try to find the cheapest shipping available. Have you tried selling on amazon? They give you a credit towards shipping your item.
I recently sold a Fluval U4 filter on there for 50 bucks. I sold another one last month also for 60 bucks that I didn't need.

You can post them in for sale section on this forum, on craigslist, and on facebook groups that are for different parts of michigan.
What is it that you are trying to sell?

|tragcm||I live in Michigan and have collected a lot of stuff to start a large planted tank but I am now not able to follow through. Do you fellow Michiganders know the best avenue to sell these items, some to large to reasonably ship like 5 gallon buckets of substrate and a co2 tank. Any help would be appreciated. thanks|

Nice pack there mrpixel.
Just treated myself today, bought some Anubias Lanceolata's and jungle Valisneria's.
All 6 plants have plantlets, and healthy rhizomes to start spreading fast hopefully.
Breeder update, random guppies massive increase, one loss.
Rabbit snails, 5 new babies I believe, few sub adults no new losses.
mystery snails no progress.
Delta Blues guppy strain, zero net gain mommas are eating babies.
Golden rams, nothing yet.
