Security Question
While balancing on a piece of wood, two inches by four inches known as a 2x4, John and his friend Sally both spotted a dalmatian inside of a truck with sirens. The animal with John and Sally is a _ _ _?

Maechael Go for the fish room! I could help fill it from tanks to fish and plants.

Sadly I am condensing, but I am glad to see others being hopeful about more.

Zoomy All this talk about fish rooms...our basement has roughed-in plumbing for a full bath and wall-framing in for an extra bedroom. But maybe I should be considering a fish room down there!! We already have 4 bedrooms upstairs (master, kid's room, guest room, office). Had thought maybe we'd renovate the downstairs into a sort of apartment if our son decides to live at home when he goes to college in a few years, but he was just telling me this past week that he wants to keep his current room. Of course, he says that NOW, when he's 14 and still sort of a mama's boy.

I do still want to consider doing a big built-in tank between the main living space of the basement (currently an unfinished home gym area) and the bathroom -- where I could access the back of the tank from in the bathroom and have it possibly even connected to plumbing in some capacity.

Maechael Blackheart if you take a few hours to do the dirt right and slowly fill the tank with asolid cap, you would only need abucket for the current fish.

I hope to be on here more frequently after i get settled in my new home! Sadly I have to consolidate my fishroom 2 tanks, but they will be a 75 gallon salt, and a 110 gallon freshwater garden.

Blackheart I'm excited because I have a 130 dollars worth of new stuff that I ordered for my tank coming in the mail next week. A ton of plants, some new Manzanita driftwood, and finally ordered my glass versa-tops. I've been really sick of having to listen to the filters splash constantly from the water level going down every week.

I'm also debating about dirting my 55. I'm not sure if I want to though because I'm going to have to re-home all the fish I have.

Maechael Placing the plant order in Clio at Somethin's Fishy. Anyone have any ideas? Trying some new stuff glosso, rotala nanjenshan, myrio mattogrossense, nana petite and some surprise plants as well. Would be awesome if anyone reading this chose to swing in next week and buy some

Excited to be doing the plant order, albeit with guidance.

mrpixel Got two sunsun canisters. One for the 29 and one for the 90. I've gotten rid of all the guppies in 29 so it's only occupants are are 3 cories, 1 pleco and 1 oto. Thank you Lord. I have 2 Male guppies in the 25bow but I don't think I will have a baby issue in there any time soon.

The light that I posted earlier that was just a 6 LED combo of Red and Blue that was on a house plant got moved over to one of the 20G in the bathroom. I kid you not, without even Focal lenses on it, in 1 Day. I had 2 plants Shoot runners up to toward the top of the tank to Flower. One of the two grew the running 6 inches in the first day and another 3 inches the next day. Now it's 3 inches or less from the top and looks like it's going to put a bud on. The other plant is an anubia something something. I'm pretty sure it's growing some flower or other but i've never see one before so I don't know what it's doing. I'll try to grab pics at some point.
I got 3 10W green LEDs in and a driver for them so now I can Make an RBG LED fixture for the plants. The Green will only be on when people want to look at the tank Otherwise it will only be RB. With the Instant results from the 6 LED test fixture, I'm super stoked to make a much larger fixture with lenses on it.
I was originally making all of my Fixtures with Cree XPG-R5 LEDs but they are way to much light and the plants don't respond like I thought they would.
RBG looks to be a better option.

mrpixel Well, The wife leaves town on Monday for a week, so I will have the whole week to rearrange the furniture and get everything how I want it for the 90 Gallon. Thinking of going with a large sand filter for Bio Filtration and a SunSun canister for mechanical.

I think I'm going to swing by the Pet Provisions Howell location and see what's left now that they are closing shop.

Blackheart I'd love to have a fish room.

I picked up 5 "Candy Cane Tetras" this weekend from Royal Tropical Fish in Royal Oak. They're a pretty cool fish and decent schoolers. Nice colors, too. I might have to get some more. Maybe for a good school say 12-15.

Good Luck!!! My wife and I are saving for a down payment so we too can finally have a house where a fish room is possible.

Maechael Been kind of hectic for me lately, seems like my every waking minute has been taken even on days where nothing seems to get done.

This weekends water changes have been postponed to today, and lights have been off since Friday night. hoping all algae to have resolved in the blackout.

Will be feeding some nice mixtures of frozen foods tonight, hoping to get some laborious pet stuff taken care of tonight.

Truly hoping to get a next level discussion on buying a house in the next hour, which will lead to a "true" Fish room eventually.

Blackheart Yes... :P If I had one. I really like my wooden pine stand for my 55 though. So that's why I'm reluctant to change it.
05-27-2015 02:27 AM
Maechael Nice deal Pixel.

Blackheart, if you had a double stand.... haha.
05-26-2015 09:34 PM
Blackheart Yeah, 90 gallon is the same footprint as 75. Just about 4 or 5 inches taller.

That would be awesome. Hell, I'd be happy enough to have 2 tanks. A double tank stand with a 55 on top and maybe a 40 long on bottom.
